Quick Thoughts: SONS OF ANARCHY, "Authority Vested"

Much like last week, I don't have a ton to say about "Authority Vested" except for it was a good episode of television even if it wasn't anything epic.

So far, I'm liking Jimmy Smits addition to the season and his scenes with Jax were pretty effective but I can already tell that things are not going to bode well. I'm still OK with Clay hanging around, and he too had some good moments with Unser.

By far the standout though was Opie. At this point, it could be argued that he's the only true hero left, and I got chills when he showed up at the very end to stand next to his brothers. Seriously, how has Ryan Hurst not been nominated for an Emmy? I have a feeling that Season 5 will be his year the breakthrough.

So, it was an entertaining hour with some good relationship/character moments and it was a nice break from the over reliance on too much plot.
