News: SPARTACUS Renewed for Third Season

On the heels of the announcement that Spartacus: Vengeance will be debuting on January 27, Starz announced that it has renewed the swords and sandals show for a third season.

Now, this may seem like a risky move, but we need to remember that Season 2 was picked up before Blood and Sand premiered, so this is kind of Starz move when it comes to its shows. They even gave Boss the same treatment (I wonder what this means for Torchwood?), so it shouldn't be that much of a surprise.

The jury is obviously still out on whether Vengeance can keep the ball rolling after Blood and Sand and Gods of the Arena, but the franchise has not given me any reason to doubt it yet. I'm just glad that we're in for some more gladiator goodness.
