Quick Thoughts: WHITE COLLAR, "The Dentist of Detroit"

After a so-so Diana episode last week, White Collar gave us an excellent Mozzie-centric storyline that not only gave us more insight about him, but effectively developed the on-going tension between Neal and Peter.

First off, all of the Mozzie stuff was great. I loved seeing him as a kid, care about someone besides Neal, and him bonding with Peter. One of the best pairings on this show is Mozzie and Elizabeth, so I was glad that we got some quality time with the two of them, and I'm hoping we get more in the future.

All of the great Mozzie moments aside, my favorite scene of the entire episode had to do with Peter and Neal. Their fight during the wire game con (which was done better by the Leverage Crew) was one of those great moments where they were expressing more than what their words were saying. All of the tension that's been building up over the years just spilled over which made the scene that more captivating.

I also enjoyed the fact that they turned White Collar into a mob show for a brief moment, and I was more invested in this storyline than some of the other cases the team has worked. I don't see them permanently making Peter and Neal a part of the Organized Crime division, but it'd be a lot cooler if they did. I'm also going to automatically love any show that riffs on both The Sting AND Ferris Bueller.

"The Dentist of Detroit" was one of those episodes of White Collar that I'm a sucker for. It had an interesting case, good character moments, and some fun cons to boot. Can't ask for anything more than that.
